Improve Your Mental Health with These 6 Wellness Podcasts

Let's cut straight to it...I am a podcast junkie. I enjoy listening to them while working, cooking, riding in my car and I've also hosted a few of my own.

Wellness podcasts have become a particular favorite of mine as I continue to evolve in my spirituality and overall wellness. And I think we can all agree that you can never have too much personal development in your life. So, I decided to compile a list of a few of my go-to wellness podcasts.

If you're not familiar with this podcast, first let's talk about Dr. Joy. She's AMAZING. From her sweet, southern demeanor to her wisdom and genuine love for helping black women heal, this podcast is everything you need to GET YOUR LIFE.

I found out about Alex through Instagram. Her wisdom via memes are being shared all over IG land. Hey, girl. is a podcast that unites the voices of phenomenal women near and far. Created with sisterhood and storytelling in mind, author Alex Elle sits down with people who inspire her. From friends to family members and strangers, the hey, girl. guests give you a peek into their stories through candid and intimate conversations.

The Happy Healthy Whole is hosted by JahSun, a phenomenal painter, empowerment coach and all-around divine human being. I've personally followed JahSun for over a year now and his presence is such a joy to see on my timeline. Topics include his journey to healing himself with food, healing your inner child and stories of overcoming PTSD.

Black Girl In Om creates space for women of color to breath easy. Listening to their podcast is like hanging out with 2 of my besties and talking all things spirituality, healing and wholeness and anything else you can think of. BGIO podcast is hosted by Lauren Ash and Deun Ivory. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Between Sessions is a podcast by Melanin and Mental Health, a platform that normalizes therapy within the black community and provides quality wellness resources. Episodes feature brands and therapists within the wellness industry.

Minding My Black Business is a podcast hosted by Dr. JaNaé Taylor. It caters to black entrepreneurs with a focus on balancing business and mental health.
